Case study: Tom Kerridge, Marlow
A good example of this working well was with Tom Kerridge and his three bars and restaurants in Marlow. We already supplied bespoke aprons to his Hand & Flowers gastro pub, but with a restaurant refresh he wanted new designs for the Hand & Flowers, The Coach and his Butchers Tap & Grill.
The brief was a design with a similar theme across all three establishments, but different enough to tell them apart. Each would have three styles of apron – front of house, chef and prep – with front of house and chef aprons in two sizes.
Mock-ups were created for all three establishments and, after some feedback and a few modifications, a design was finalised for each. Working this way speeds up the whole process: rather than having samples made and endlessly altering them, a mock-up lets clients settle on a design without needing a physical sample.
